Our Philosophy
We are a Christ-centered community of moms and dads that provides a variety of core and elective classes to meet the needs of homeschooling families within the community. We strive to offer an encouraging, safe, fun and loving environment for our families each week.
Each Week
Thrive is a parent-led cooperative where families meet at a local church in York, SC from 9am-1pm* on Thursdays from September to April. A typical day includes three classes and a lunch/recess period for grades K-12. We also offer nursery and pre-K rooms for parents with children in K-12. On-campus parents can take on the role of a lead teacher, assistant teacher, floater/substitute, preschool teacher and/or nursery worker. *Some high school classes end at 2pm.
Connections
We strive to encourage authentic connections between students, parents and families. Each week, on-campus parents serve for two periods and then enjoy a "coffee hour" where they can deepen their friendships with each other. We celebrate together with a "Back-to-School" family picnic, Christmas party, and "End of the Year" family picnic. Beyond classes each week, we offer regular meetups in the form of moms-night-out, dads-night-out, as well as field trips and outings for students.
